Hospitality is more than just a learned skill or studied practice for Bret and Kristin. Bret comes from a long line of resort owners, hospitality and hotel management are second nature for him. Growing up with his family’s ocean resort, The Surfcomber, and later managing it with Kristin’s help, has given him a unique perspective on all aspects of the hospitality industry. While assisting Bret in the operation of The Surfcomber, Kristin spearheaded an eco-audit of the property, overhauling the property’s purchasing and operations to be more evironmentally sound. Bret and Kristin have first hand experience working together overseeing all departments of a resort, planning and executing capital improvement, hiring and training staff, handling guest and staff issues effectively and appropriately as they arise. They have plans of starting their own property in the future, but in the meantime are interested in positions that would challenge and expand their knowledge of the industry.
